Still heading west on old Route 66, we stayed the night in Tucumcari, New Mexico at the famous Blue Swallow Motel.
Serving wearing travellers since the 1930's, the motel is the only continuosly operated motel on the old 'Mother Road'.
Recently restored to its former neon glory, the rooms are charming and they also have their own little garage complete with vintage road signs.
There's not much else in Tucumcari other than the local museum.
